In Case Anyone Needs This Message. The Scent Journey is Beckoning as we Reach Summer Solstice and there are so many tasks in the garden. We had the joy of having Simms Organics start some of our flower seeds this season as per usual. Jen delivered the starts to the Perfume Camp Scent Garden Monday morning in anticipation of planting for the Solstice. Today is that planting day. We have been weeding, clearing rows and rows for these beauties of celosia, zinnias, pink statice, and dahlia seedlings. There is always a busy season in summer when sunlight hours are longer and the garden is in full expression.
We're harvesting now, drying herbs for our teas as well as tincturing for perfume making. I wake up early around 2 to 3am. Make coffee infused with ashwaghanda powder, schisandraberries, cinnamon, nutmeg and play with my cat, do some work and get ready for a day in the shops and garden. It is kind of a marathon between shipping orders coming in online, having fun ordering merchandise for the shops, seeing customers, and making sure I am balancing everything with exercise, eating well and getting rest. How is your Summer Solstice shaping up? Just some encouragement for you: Keep Going. xo Linking you below to some of the products that come out of the garden, and some that may be fun for your summer season. xo
