Last weekend I taught a wild foraging perfume class. We met at SLOWCOAST Made and hiked from there, down through fields, and to the beach, about a mile or two all told. We gathered evening primrose, yarrow, yellow lupine, beach sand, shells, charcoal from camp fires, yucca flowers, mustard flowers, datura, butterfly plant, a cousin to mallow, and prickly pear flower, wild blackberries, and strawberry leaves, and berries. We mashed, cut up, and generally infused these into a two month vintage of salvia, lemon verbena, rosemary, and lavendar, from up in Bonny Doon, and added two 10ml of Young Buck which was made up in Santa Cruz mountains a year ago. The result is a sticky attractant, fruity light alchemical midsummer night's dream parfum. I am calling it SWANTON PARFUM because it was made from elements all around the property. It really has n uplifting aphrodisiac summer refreshing scent.
