Artichoke Earth is a small batch hand made parfum created from a Douglas Fir that fell over in a storm last fall in Novembre, in front of my Oceanside Perfume Studio, at the same moments that the building was changing ownership. The previous owner had planted the tree 40 years ago, and many friends have visited the stump, since the storm. Luckily I was able to tincture it, fresh, right after the storm, and have since filtered, and added some artichoke concrete, myriad of wildflowers, growing this springtime, 2015, including the following list of beauties:
forget-me-nots, roses, jasmine, passionflower, wormwood, mugwort, chamomile, borage flowers, watsonia, brugmansia, wild irises, plantain leaves, yarrow leaves, baked earth, in a sandalwood base: called mitti attar, yuzu citrus, bergamot, jasmine sambac, rose bulgarian, orange flower absolute, perilla, frankincense, rosemary, chocolate mint, marjoram, lemon verbena, geranium rose attar, nutmeg geranium, lavendar, calendula.
