Dear Family + Friends,
As I enter spring season, I am mindful of balancing my celebrations with good practices that take me through the season feeling strong, beautiful and calm. Here are some practices I am integrating into my regimen now, to get myself set up for this new spring season of 2022. I joyfully and methodically deepen my ongoing routine for self care now: I am eating mostly keto now for about six months with some breaks for resetting. I am making a time in my day for exercise. (I like to walk.) Herb Teas in the evening are my go to, balancing my busy day with a calm evening. I like Dream Tea at night, and add some extra herbs for myself. See below, I add the same herbs in my morning coffee. I keep some of my fav perfumes on my bedtime table and spritz throughout the evening and again i morning. Right now I am working with Apricot, Magnolia, Gardenia, Frangipani, and Ground Zero. Morning Coffee: I add ashwaganda powder, milk thistle, dandelion root and schisandraberries to my french press every morning, and do some light stretching/yoga in the sun for vitamin d on my deck. I make an effort to connect with my inner circle of a handful of close friends each day. This is a core basic list. Weekly I set aside a day for tasks, errands, a day for beauty, and a day for art making. This usually keeps me on track with my creative life self care. I am flexible as some weeks are fuller and busier. Having this SELF CARE core basic is essential for me and I post it here to encourage you to develop you own core self care basics for yourself. As I SPRING FORWARD with my CLOCKS this weekend, and look forward to my growing gardens this spring, I also stay grounded in practices that do create calm and balance for me. Blessings PERFUME CAMP BY LPO LIBBY PATTERSON ORGANICS Fragrance Family Descriptions When you come to Perfume Camp we are working with the following classically acknowledged Fragrance Families. Going into the silence and centering allows our attention to be fully present when creating a perfume. Meditation is something that strengthens our ability to perceive smell when it comes to design. We support all the nuances of your scent journey and encourage exploration through the. different fragrance families to fully build your "nose" through artistry of perfume making. The open invitation stands. The Fragrance Families: Aromatic: Garden Fresh Lavendar & Geranium Blends with Citrus, Herbs & Woods Citrus: The joyful + uplifting refreshing notes of bergamot and lemon, mandarin and lime, oranges and grapefruit, bitter yuzu. Water: The scent of ocean breeze, the freshness of a waterfall, or the ozonic note of wet air during or after a rain or thunderstorm. Seaweed + CampFire on the Beach. animalic scent from whales. Green: The sharp notes of fresh cut grass, violet leaves, hay, or a dusty dirt road in the country. Fruity: Orchard fruits, berries of all hues, and a splash of flowers create delicious fruity floral cocktails. Floral: Our Soliflore (Single Note) Florals to more complex bouquets that capture landscapes, and seasons. Soft Floral: Delicate Flowers and ozonic married with musks, and powdery abstract florals. Floral Amber: Luminous Flowers warmed with Spices + Resins and Vanilla Soft Amber: Incense casts a spell on sweet Spices and Resins to create soft sensual scent Amber: Sensual blends of Golden Resins, Opulent Flowers and Sweet Vanilla Woody Amber: Spicy Amber Accords woven with potent Wood notes of Patchouli, Oud and Sandalwood Woods: Sheer Woody Notes renew harmonies of Cedar, Patchouli, Fir, Spruce, Sandalwood and Vetiver Mossy Woods: Velvety notes of oakmoss, patchouli blend smoothly with amber + citrus Dry Woods: Leather, Tobacco notes add a dry, often smoky accent to Woody Scents I have designed three levels of pricing for our parfums.
Reserve Parfums are fully structured top, heart and base notes. Our Reserve Parfums generally have been in the bottle ten years or more. They are full structured with defined opening notes, heart notes and dry downs of base notes. They are more expensive but totally worth every drop. You will need just a few drops each application to enjoy the beauty. In contrast my soliflore parfums are soft head space of the flower or note. They may not linger long, depending on your skin. If you are looking for a lighter parfum definitely consider our Soliflore series that features a single note scent profile. These are mixed and matched well with other soliflore note parfums I make. If you are working in an environment that is restrictive for scent this is the way to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy. Our Landscape Series is the middle ground. Ready to Wear means these can be worn the day they are created but like the Reserve Parfums they grow more precious as they age. Lucky us. These parfums are created to trigger your memory of certain landscapes, as you meander through life. Please come smell all our parfums, and when you do we can help guide you based on what your scent profile is. This weekend we have several perfume camp sessions open. Email for details. Have a great eve. Love, Libby As we approach this new green season let's review what is considered the ultimate in lucky charms in the LPO beauty world to have on hand for your self care. xo Love, Libby Of course we love fresh flowers in every space from the garden as well. Stop by to shop our fresh bouquets this month when in Pescadero. When I am designing and hand making all our herbal teas, parfums, and beauty serums, etc...it is as a result from what I am looking for that I need. My needs have remained the same as far as beauty products that sustain and lift me over the past 50 + years, but it has been my joy to discover through the design + product development process what we have now. What is in your bag, your bedroom, your bathroom? Your car? I keep small 5ml and 10ml Roll Ons with me when I am mobile: field office, perfume studio, barn, car, shops. At Home I choose the 50ml Pump / and or 100ml Pump because I want to slather it on my entire body to keep me moisturized. Ok so that's the Washes, Toners + Beauty Serums. When I find one of the Seasonal Parfums I fall for I make sure to have a 15ml Spray in my purse or car, and a 30ml or 60ml Spray at home. I love this so much to shift my mood when I am on the go and when I land back in my nest at home. There are some other essentials I love too that are on my Top Ten Must Have LPO List. Ok let's see the list.
