Happy Morning Sunrise New Moon Ritual Overlooking Swanton Valley and Monterey Bay~

Quiet Solitude of the Forest allows me the space to creatively think.
Sipping Beauty Tea and I am working with Anti Stress Serum this morning which is incredibly soothing, calming and uplifting, centering. After a hot morning bath with a special holiday scent of frankincense, blood orange, nutmeg, bergamot, lavendar essential oils, I apply this serum to the bottom of my feet with a lovely light effleurage massage up towards the heart. Over the legs, torso, arms, and neck. I feel this beautiful sense of well being. I recommend this as a daily meditation, and drink the sunlight in as the morning begins. XO A quiet walk in nature is always welcome. This morning I am watching the exotic proteas forming giant buds and ready to bloom here. Think of your potent dreams that are forming, getting ready to bloom.

I am filled with Gratitude from the moment I arise to the moment I arise again, and in my dreams laced with love and ideas.

Testimonials for my Organic Parfums:

I continue to hear at least one person or two a week who come into Slowcoast Airstream store to shop for my perfumes who tell me they haven't been able to wear perfumes in over 20 years until they found my collection.

It always is an interesting conversation about the word ORGANIC which has been obliterated by the large corporations. I read over the weekend that Dr. Bronner's who is an ethical organic soap company and has lead the charge in maintaining organic's reputation has left the OTA (Organic Trade Association) because the definition of organic has been tainted with GMO and so forth.

This is what I always tell my customers: The word organic means not what it used to. For example in Europe the way to be Eco Cert is to have 85% organic ingredients. This is simply unacceptable in my humble opinion. This causes millions of customers to try the organics that are certified by a government process and then announce they can not even wear organics because it is causing an allergic sensitivity issue.

The reason is because the 15% of the product MAY be synthetics or natural isolates which is the molecular identical of the real deal only NOT the real deal.

I am so grateful that some people have been able to enjoy the real head space scents of the flowers they love so much, that this SLOW SCENT path of creating perfumes from Luxe Raw Wild Botanicals is something that I can afford to offer. The slow process of making perfumes this way is akin the process of making wines. It takes a long time. Scent gets better with age, and changes as the nuances of the molecular make up go through a synergistic alignment, which again changes when you put a drop on your skin and it mixes with your organic chemistry.

Not only is LPO Parfum, Beauty & Herb Teas good for your health, it helps form neuroscience scent memories which can help us as we age to trigger memories of places that we remember. If we lasso this consicously as we age, then we can basket the memories in a deeper way, allowing a more graceful aging process including longevity of mind AND body AND spirit.

Everything is made with love in small batches in a clean biodiverse landscape.
Wildcrafted, or domesticated in my gardens and those of friends: the results are much like fine wines: each season's weather, soil, sunshine, rain etc determines the outcomes of each experimental parfum.

Scent Journeys are very healing, and uplifting for people to be introduced to this method of perfume. Not all organic perfumes are alike, in creation. Make sure you know your perfumer, and the methods. So important.

The goal is NOT how long the perfume (sillage) will last on your body.

The GOAL is a few seconds uptick emotionally on the skin, through the bloodstream below the pulse points, and to the brain in 3 seconds on inhalation to create that reset button, a flooding of memories, and then return you back to a neutral palette so you can navigate your world.

Thanksgiving Herbal Bundles for Cooking~

11/22/2016

From the Autumn Garden:

Marjoram
Tricoloured Sage
Fresh Calendula Flowers
Borage Flowers
Flowering Thyme
Rosemary
Oregano
Kale
Heirloom Cinderella Pumpkins

Beautiful small bouquets can be made up for friends, family for this holiday week for chefs aspiring to scent & flavour the meal with organic herbs.

The offerings from the garden are often in renewal this time of year because of recent rains. We make up small beautiful bouquet garni that can be brought to a dinner party and used in the cooking.

Here is a recipe for flavoured butter:

Kerry Gold Butter Slab
Herbs from the Garden

Allow your slab of butter to sit out overnight in kitchen to become room temperature.

Prepare herbs by using a special herbal cutting tool or your favorite sharp knife.
You will need a large clean cutting board.
Pull the leaves and flowers off stems, carefully cutting them into tiny pieces. With the flowers you can use petals for the calendula and borage.

Place herbs into butter as you like and stir them into the butter.
You can also add honey into this butter for a treat before you stire/whip.
Once all the herbs are embedded into the butter you can form butter into shapes if you have old fashioned butter molds, or just in small single serving ramakins and then refrigerate. Decorate the top of each ramakin with a colourful flower petal.

Serve with your meal on Thanksgiving for a special treat.

Another fun thing to try with your herbal garni bundle is to make a pumpkin stew and insert the bundle of herbs to cook with the stew imparting an amazing healing aspect to your meal of the healthy herbs.

There is also stuffing. Cut up cubes of bread and add cut herbs into the mix, add olive oil, butter, and some honey to taste. Vegetables can also be added such as celery and crunchy water chestnuts.  Raisins, currants or cranberries can also be added into the stuffing mix for a lovely added taste.

I love working with fresh herbs and croutons also. To make croutons with fresh herbs use butter pats in a cast iron skillet, add the bread cut into cubes, and roll the herbs through this mixture once you have rolled bread through butter. Pull off heat, and save for your salades. You can heat up these croutons later in the oven on a cookie sheet before you use them so they are warm in the salade.

Fresh Herbs can also be added to a bouillion or bone broth to create a solid base for soups and stews for self care during damp season.

Rituals for Soft Skin ~

In the many years since I designed the LPO BEAUTY & SKIN CARE LINE I have always been loyal to the regime. It takes almost no time at all, and supports our inner as well as outer beauty. Here is an idea of what I use so you can have a better idea of how these will work in your life too.

In the Shower Daily:

I use the Coastal Mint Facial Wash which is good for the entire body as well.
It is very mild, liquid organic castille soap with coastal mint added for circulation and beauty skin firming. It also helps to clean and close pores of skin without harsh chemicals.

Angel Glow Serum

I follow with Angel Glow Serum in the 10ml Roll on bottle. I roll a bit onto my palms, and then molecularize it into my skin. Then I allow my decolletage and chest, neck the same treatment, continuing to roll onto my palms until I have completely covered my face, neck and decooletage with this beautiful rose scented serum.

Prana Serum

I use Prana Serum on my feet, ankles, heels, and calves, with a light effleurage up the leg from the toes, and feet. I massage this into my feet every evening, and every morning so that my feet stay soft and beautiful while also helping my circulation during my busy days. At night the treatment helps to restore my body.

Anti Stress Serum

During the busy holidays I always have this on hand during the day to revive my sense of center. I roll it again on to my palms and lightly pass this over my face, neck: caryotid, and on my chest. Inhaling, meditation, all very helpful now.

I have some almond meal that works well as a once a week facial mask, and sandalwood powder also. I can address these additions in another post.

Main thing is the Coastal Mint Facial Wash along with the key 3 serums as a base kit for the season. I would also add CHI SERUM for people who live in damp climates for winter.

Boronia Soliflore Parfum

Just in time for the blustery wintery weather, a very soft and nostalgic scent that reminds me of the long walks in fresh air. The voice that calls for this scent adores subtly in scent profiles. Can be worn as a refreshing scent ritual upon towel drying after a hot shower or bath.

Nuanced Ultra Light Amulet Parfum: Boronia Soliflore Parfum is for those with very sensitive noses who enjoy a pristine aphrodisiac that is a high soprano vibration. Barely perceptible to many, this is for the *nose* who enjoys subtly in their scents.

Winter Solstice thru Imbolc Meditation Scent ~~~

11/19/2016

Root Chakra Base Grounding Parfum designed for the Season of Winter Solstice to Imbolc: Dec 20 through 2 Feb. This is a great scent for your holiday parfum, which grounds you in source.

This is an inky black colour. The parfum is very intense, in a smouldering way. It's act is to vibrationally ground you into your root chakra for new beginnings, to the seat of power within.

Use in ceremonial purposes, before yoga, meditation, and for grief to get to the bottom of the sadness and vibrate it up the octaves, to release. The higher octaves come forth from within a deep essence.

The Black Water Snake was the Chinese Year that was coming in when I created this. The mythology of being fluid in motion is applicable here, being like water, and attuning to our deep dark feminine in the blackness of the mystery, the unknown.

The formula was created over Winter Solstice 2012.
Ingredients:
Sandalwood
Saffron
Vetiver
Antique Patchouli
Nutmeg
Spruce
Rosewood
Bergamot
Lime
Labdanum
Oakmoss
Rose Geranium
Davana
Hyssop
Basil
Lavendar
Hops
Rosemary
Angelica Root
Black Tea Absolute
Lotus Pink & Blue
Raw Cacao
Porcini
Rose Tonka Bean

Anchor Point Parfum: Perfect Meditation During Sagittarius Month before Winter Solstice...

11/19/2016

Anchor Point was designed in 2010 over the Valentine's Holiday as a way to anchor ourselves while also being able to be fluid in our reach to our beloved, and our love path in our life.

The Anchor Point is literally the PULL BACK of the bow in archery. I created this parfum as a happy vibrational uptick for people who are working on their compass points alignment.

How to work with this scent: when you are working in a meditative way to point yourself forward, in a new direction, or to re-commit to the path you are on. The scent grounds you in self care, love and beauty while the herbal top notes enliven and awaken your fine tuning, before you release your bow in the direction of your dreams.

Breathe in, and absorb your own inner beauty. I love working with this scent during the Sagittarius time frame as we wrap up a year, and bring all our dreams into the present moment of planning for the next cycle, the new year. This is a good meditation for this month, planning, and fully absorbing successes and challenges, directional corrections before Winter Solstice where the LIGHT returns and we move forward during the week prior to New Year's.

The essence of this scent is herbal and citrus with a soft round heart of Rose Bulgarian and a Sandalwood base.

Ingredients:

Top Notes:
Lavendar
Spearmint
Fir
Ginger
Pink Grapefruit
Black Pepper
Lime
Nutmeg
Lemon Verbena
Litsea Cubeba
Hyssop
Salvia

Heart Notes:
Rose Bulgarian

Base Notes:
Sandalwood

Her Majesty: Pele Slays The Dragon/Lava Flow

11/19/2016

This week marks the 6 year anniversary of my composition of one of my best parfum designs: Her Majesty. It was as it turns out an ode to my mother, with all her femininity, an organic version of the mash up of scents that Mom loved, including Chanel No. 5, Estee Lauder White Linen, Joy, and a few other classics.
It all started with a three week infusion/tincture of pear and continued on for months, creating this amazingly mature and beautiful deep amber oriental parfum. I love wearing this parfum during winter months, when the air outside is crisp, the weather is chilly and the skies are grey with storms. It warms me inside and out with the beauty and memory of nostalgia.
This Parfum was created at Thanksgiving Week in 2010. It started with a 3 week long infusion of organic pears in perfumer's alcohol. The name was created as a response to the astrological aspects that were activating at that time, which included the deep resonance of our internal passionate fires that burn bright within us creatively. Pele is the goddess of the volcano. It is us as Pele who slays the inner dragon and creates a consistent flow of lava in our lives. This is the most passionate parfum that I have created. It supports our urges as women to want to have it all, to manifest and to burn through all obstacles on the way.

Then, it was filtered. Three weeks. To this I added:
Saffron Absolute
Butterscotch Sandalwood
Labdanum
After this tinctured infusion, I made the parfum with the following ingredients added in:
Immortelle
Firetree
Bergamot
Yuzu
Pink Pepper
Frangipani
Cassia
Cepes
Mandarin
White Cognac
Gardenia
Honeysuckle
Ylang Ylang
Ambrette Seed
Oakmoss
Ambergris
Tonka Bean
Agar Musk
Blue Lotus
Vetiver
Sandalwood, Light Fraction, very woody
Violet leaf
Oppopanax
The scent lays heavily on the air, when spritzed. It is a very mature oriental amber parfum. It reminds me of the deep love and respect I have for the empress archetype, the mother.
I showcase the image of the perfume with pearls as they both have that similar vibration of womanhood.
For those who are looking for a source parfum that can become their signature scent, and love something that hovers around them, this is your scent.
