I had a delightful day yesterday in our #SLOWCOAST Pescadero store at 251 Stage Rd, next to Norm's Market and Cindy's Country Store.
I was able to share and talk some about how I use the #LPO Libby Patterson Organic Line of Soliflore Parfums that I create. I really like the uptick of vibration that happens when I spray some of ORANGE HONEY BLOSSOM, LAVENDAR, JASMINE SAMBAC, or ROSE BULGARIAN Soliflore Parfums. I don't design this part of my line for a long sillage, meaning the length of time it lasts on the skin.I really am partial to being returned to a neutral palette soon after the energy vibrational uptick has occured. It takes the brain about 3 seconds to respond when inhaling organic essences. All the cells communicate with each other immediately when you touch the essence to your skin, and the brain is informed, and can change your life that fast. I love to use perfume in just this way. Then I want to be returned to a neutral palette. I will explain further. Synthetic scent clings to us, the molecular configuration can not be easily shaken, and there is a rancidity for me, when I smell the synths, and I get a headache. What causes that? Well, the number of molecules that make up a the organic botanicals is usually varied and many more than science can synthesize, thus causing us to have a reaction when our olfactory bulb gets involved. Back to how I like to work with the scents. I have a lot of scents around my home, in boudoir, in kitchen, next to door where I can spray when I leave house, on a desk where I work on computer, and so forth. In bath, on shelf in bathtub/shower room. I really like to just give myself a small dose of a scent to cheer, move the energy, and reset my focus, concentration, or give me a small break from task at hand, before I return to work. I will spray above my head, so that the molecules will float down into my etheric body, and into my hair, then I will spray or roll on my inner palms, molecularize by rubbing my palms together, and lightly drag my hands across my forehead, around my face, temples, over my cheeks, nose, mouth, very very lightly just off the surface, then through my hair, onto the nape of my neck and around the sides of my neck so that it goes into the carotid, a major pulse point, close to the blood and gets it moving through the entire system quickly, including through inhalation, skin, blood carriers, to brain, and entire system. I use a light effleurage motion on top of my hands to pull the scent lightly onto my arms, both inner and outer, touching inner wrist pulse point, inner elbow, all the way up like opera gloves, i touch lymph area under arms, and continue, under breasts, then behind knees, and finish on arms of what I am wearing: hoodie, or cashmere sweater. The scent lingers long enough to give me a fresh feeling, and then I like to be returned to a neutral palette because I believe we can maneuver better in our lives from this place. I don't know any other perfumer who share my position. I do not wear perfume as a way to scent myself, but merely as a way to change my emotion, to heighten it, raise it, vibrationally as plants are most definitely aligning us with nature's intelligence. Once we are aligned, that bond has been made, and we are there. If I need to reapply, I do. I like it this way. I don't want to smell the same way for 8 hours, or longer. I want to feel my world as it is, all the scent nuances can inform our brains if our environment is safe, dangerous, or if it stinks, and we need to take out the trash, take a shower, etc. From a neutral palette the brain can work free and clear to make the decisions. When we have clingon synths attached to our skin and clothes, it dulls the ability to make a clear decision about our lives, does that make sense for you? I have customers, fans of LPO from time to time, ask for longer lasting sillage. Yes! I do love to design scents with vertical, horizontal accords that have longer lasting quality to "wear" as perfumes. They are much more expensive, and are in a category all by themselves. If you are looking for something like this that is all organic please message me so I can guide you to find something from my collections that will fit your needs. My main design focus is the energy vibrational uptick, therefore I am known for designing aphrodisiacs. They mainly work internally on us to feel good, so we then just naturally attract what we want simply because we are vibrating at that level. Just in this article I am sharing my deeper philosophy of how I design and why. I do have some of my deeper parfums that last longer, because they were designed that way, w base notes that stay stay stay as a dry down. These are from my Couture part of my collections and are more expensive, can be worn as perfumes. The Soliflore line is strictly what I use for these small petite energy upticks, to also kill bacteria, and so forth on surfaces. The Lavendar Solflore I have used successfully for spider bites, bee stings, mosquito bites, and on my sheets, pillows, pillow cases, and comforters to help kill mites, and keep them clean and mattresses in between changing the sheets. If you would like a scent that lasts, we can talk about a collection from my couture line, there are always times when you want that scent to wear as a parfum, and to last, for special occasion. Thank you for all of your support, for a woman owned all organic and wildcrafted botanical business. July is the month of the Full Buck Moon. Bucks begin to grow new antlers at this time. This Full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.
This month we are heading for the full moon on JULY 19th. It is a very exciting time. Below I will expound on some of what I am currently working on. I would like to say that my OCEAN SUMMER WELLNESS BROTH is amazing, and can carry us into healthy zones. Use it as a base for bouillabaise, veggie soups, teas, and much more recipe ideas, even as a broth to serve over grilled fish in summer, w zucchini. More popular summer teas are all stocked at all SLOWCOAST locations. The Summer Scents that I love now: WHITE ROSE SOLIFLORE that is a soft comfort in the boudoir before bedtime for a smooth restful meditative rejuvenation, Orange Honey Blossom which I love for that glow on my mattress when I change the sheets, and exudes in mornings in the boudoir, Lavendar Soliflore is a must in my purse, for a refreshing uplift any time of day. There are so many more. I created a beautiful essential oil blend for summer that is blood orange, cedar, carrot seed, and many other essences. I use it in baths, and in my Anti Stress Serum when dressing before my day and after my evening shower or bath before I cook dinner, to meditate, and feel smooth energies. In the perfume studio I am working on a few new scents. The #SLOWCOAST SCENT garden for #LPO is doing very well this summer, becoming much more established. It can now be utilized as a good resource for perfume making. We like to harvest in mornings when the dew has dried. I have some new green coloured parfums in the making. One is almost done and will go for review to a private client. She is in Germany. I can give you the exclusive on it.....shhhhhh: She had a friend send her a blog entry describing what David Bowie smelled like and she wanted to share it with me. We decided to create a scent for her music blog based on that description. She writes a cool hip music blog in German/English. I met her here at Slowcoast, a few years ago where she bought my BIG SUR PARFUM and came back again for more, LPO. I gave she and her friend a private scent journey in my perfume studio. That was super fun. The new perfume is green and has been in the making for months and months now. It is almost ready to fly to her for approval. :) It has a soft entry of violet, forest floor, with spruce and fir, then opens into a smoky hay, roasted seashell, cade....and a dry down of attar of floral sandalwoods. This would be a fun feature as AUTUMN begins, and people could choose the scent as a rock star style that embraces nature, and fireplace coziness. --- I am working on a LAST CHANCE Parfum also, which encompasses my home land now. This is a place that backs up into a giant nature preserve here called Big Basin. Main scent is a meadow lavendar, and apples: 27 heirloom varieties, citrus, plums, and apricots, roses, and tree barks, pine, hay, much more, growing up at 905 feet above sea level overlooking the ocean. So that is something else, in the composition phase now. It should launch for SPRING 2017 is my best guess. __ Then I have a MILLEFLEURS 2016 that will be a capsule of summer scent garden, that I am currently working on which is where the SLOWCOAST LPO garden is. This is being composed of an entire seasonal cycle of what we have growing this summer. Perfume Camp 2017 will be announced soon. That will be a good intro or expansion for students, and perfumers. For those interested in studying, creating, composing, foraging, learning, expanding, please feel free to reach out and book private study time with me. I am very excited to get things going for you, so we can make some headway on your expressive and creative genius. |
