Power Outages on the #Slowcoast allow that serenity, unplugging, letting go of our lists, venturing out into nature, seeing what is blooming, foraging for current perfume projects.
We watch the creek flow, the waves ebb and flow, and the rains greening our landscapes. These moments in time, replete with tasks of starting generators, making cozy nests, building fires, darting to and fro to gather twigs, seeing us slowing down to a crawl, to breathe, take that extra hour to really listen, see, and be. The season of abundant el nino rains is fast becoming my favorite season here yet. As J Nichols would say: "I wish you water".
